The Franklin Township Fire Department is located in Warren County, New Jersey. The Department consists of 3 stations located in New Village, Broadway and Asbury.  The Department is 65 members strong with 11 pieces of apparatus.  

The Department is led into action by Chief Sonny Read. Along with the Chief, Line Officers consists of 2 -  Asst. Chiefs, 2 -  Captains, 3 -  Lieutenants and 2 - Safety Officers. Our membership also includes Firefighters, EMTs, Fire Police and Jr. Members along with the Administrative Officers of the Department. 

The primary coverage is a rural area of 24 square miles consisting of 15,360 acres. Besides providing coverage to the Department’s primary area, coverage is also afforded to an area of 8.5 square miles consisting of 5440 acres in Bethlehem Township located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey and runs mutual aid with several other departments and companies in both Warren County and Hunterdon County.
