Fema awards Asbury Fire Company 58 FIRE (Warren County NJ) with one of the 2007 AFG grants for
the purchase of (13) 2007 compliant Scott Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA's), (13) spare bottles, (13)
AV-3000 masks, and (13) 2007 compliant Pass 3 devices. The grant will pay for about 75% of the cost
for these items that we have needed for some time now since some of our old SCBA's and bottles date back to the 1970's.
The other 25% will be paid for by the Asbury Fire Company itself with funds raised by our members throughout the year and
funds recieved from our annual fund drive letter and such. These new items are a MAJOR accomplishment
and step forward for our company and for the Firefighter's that wear them, not to mention the residents
we protect. They are equipped with the new standards that NFPA requires for SCBA's along with all of the new safety standards
that not are only are safer for the firefighters but will increase the firefighters ability to to perform
his/her duties in a much more efficient way. On behalf of The Asbury Fire Company and the residence of our community thank
you FEMA for this grant award!!!!
The Members of Asbury Fire Company #1 (58 FIRE) would like to wish Probationary member Matt Miller the best

by Asst. Chief 5870 Mike Denney.
